The Science Challenge is dependent on community support for both funding and volunteers.
In order to offer the Science Challenge, we need approximately 60 volunteers to serve as judges/event supervisors. Most events do NOT require much science knowledge. For instance, a judge might measure how far a paper airplane flew or how tall a tower is.
If you are interested, you might ask to work with a fellow CEBASite, your spouse, or even your high school age kid.

Note: The 2016 Sonoma County Science Challenge is being organized by volunteers and former science teachers, with support from community members who support science education. The Science Challenge is a new event for students in grades 4-8. (It is similar to the Science Olympiad, which, in Sonoma County, is for students in grades 4-6 and is sponsored by the Sonoma County Office of Education in 2016.)
